What KIRA is
KIRA is a personal assistant that runs on my own computers at home. It’s used only by me, Josh Gold. It isn’t offered to anyone else, and no one else can sign in to it.
What it reads from Google
When I sign in with Google, KIRA gets read-only access to two things in my own account:
- Google Calendar events (
calendar.readonly) - Google Tasks (
tasks.readonly)
It uses them to write me a short message each morning. It never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in Google.
Where the data goes
The data stays on my own computers at home. It isn’t sold, shared or sent to third parties, and it isn’t used for advertising.
Removing access
Access can be removed at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
